Thanks for formalising this feedback. As I mentioned in our meeting at the start of the year - introducing new attendance notifications is something we want to pursue.

I think there's a few different aspects/use scenarios that come to mind here:

Ideally we'd be able to set the frequency of when this is sent (similar to Automated Reports), and what data is brought in (Today's data, This Weeks, Last Weeks...)

We need to be able to set who this is sent to - staff on the system, parents and others (e.g. LA staff/social workers that might not be users on the system or recorded as a student's Contact)

We could expand our Letter system to allow automatic generation and scheduling - this is a manual process, currently. This allows more flexibility than a purpose built rigid feature as Letters can be edited, include other types of data (student details, slip and assessment information) and sent to additional contacts already.

We could expand our Automated Reports to encompass Attendance notifications - though these are intended to be sent to Staff users. We could enhance this to schedule sending a student's Attendance Certificate, a Class/Form register, and also allowing sending to other Contacts.

When we get to taking a closer look at this we'll reach out to yourself and any other voters/interested users for input and feedback. In the meantime - feel free to add any further details or ideas for what data these should include, or how you'd expect to select recipients - e.g. would you expect just the attendance codes, or comments as well?
