Safeguarding export

Hi Leeann,
Thanks for taking the time to explore the new Roadmap link and provide this feedback.
'Slips' are set up to each individual school or organisation's needs - the layout and terminology is going to differ between settings - including when exported or printed.
You and I have a meeting booked for Friday to discuss Safeguarding, so we can no doubt have a chat on the export/extract methods as well! I'll follow up and include any relevant info from our meeting to this item for others to review and add any thoughts and suggestions.
Thanks again!

Follow up:
There's issues with the current Exports that make transferring Safeguarding data (via Full Chronology Report) to a child's new school problematic. Leeann is looking more for a formal, readable record for an individual's Safeguarding events, opposed to a raw-form bulk export designed to accommodate other Slip types or additional students. The headers and terminology are often not specific to Safeguarding, which can be confusing for the destination school or agency.
Word (RTF)
- When exporting for an individual, there's an unnecessary reference on each record to the Student, taking up valuable space.
- Unnecessary headers e.g. Subject/Period/Form/Status which may not be appropriate to 'Safeguarding' or the destination school.
- Selected Fields and any data input into the Slip is shown under the heading 'Incidents' - which may not apply to 'Safeguarding' or other common Slip uses - e.g. Rewards, Positive Behaviour etc. This is also unformatted, appearing as a continuous block of text which reduces it's readability.
Excel (CSV)
- No Export options - cannot customise the included headers.
- Field selections and input data falls within the 'Checkboxes' column in a single cell. This makes it difficult to strip out unnecessary data that may only be relevant to the current school's admin processes and not to a more concise record for the destination school.
Print (to PDF)
- Nicer layout - but can be slow to generate.
- PDF format - cannot easily amend and strip out data.
Will review with the dev team some initial ideas here:
- Enabling Letters to work with Letterboxed Slips and new access permissions to compensate.
- New Export Options in Full Chronology Report to allow some customisation - e.g. selecting which Columns/Fields to be included in the export, and updating terminology of current headers.
- A new report or functionality dedicated to student transfers - options to include photo, CTF, Attendance Certificate, Notes and Files, Slips (multi-select). Generate password protected zip folder, alert user when ready to download.
